A development site with full planning permission for 21 new homes outside Saintfield is now on the market, and selling agents, Osborne King, expect strong interest from local developers keen to acquire a prime piece of residential development land. Located on the Old Grand Jury Road within comfortable walking distance of the village centre, the circa 2-acre former brownfield site has been largely cleared for development and has planning consent for 15 detached and 6 semi-detached houses with their own garages.

Recently, the first phase of a new development opposite the Old Grand Jury Road site sold out on the morning of its release with prospective buyers camping out overnight in order to secure a property.

According to Thomas Osborne from Osborne King, “Demand for new housing is very strong within this particular area as we have seen recently.  Saintfield is an attractive village with great amenities such as independent shops, pubs and restaurants, good local schools and is within convenient commuting distance of Belfast and Downpatrick.  Although this site has just come on the market, it is already generating a keen level of interest among local developers and investors, particularly since it has full planning permission for a new-build scheme.”
