Our policy is to provide and maintain as safe and healthy a working environment as is reasonably practicable at all places in which the company operates for our staff members, our clients or third parties using those facilities under our control or influence.
Workplace
We focus on creating a rewarding and welcoming workplace for our staff in which their individual efforts and contribution towards the overall performance of the business are both encouraged and acknowledged. Through providing relevant training and development opportunities, we ensure that our staff are fully equipped to respond to and deal with changes within the business environment.
Sponsorship / Charitable Activities
We are keen to support local charities through our annual Christmas appeal and in recent years have supported organisations including Motor Neurone Disease Association NI, Air Ambulance NI and Mitre Trust. We have also partnered with two local NI charities, Tiny Life and NI Hospice, with several staff taking part or supporting a wide range of fund-raising activities and events throughout the year. We also donated clothing and food to support two other charities Oxfam NI and Storehouse. Currently we are supporting Community Rescue Service and Homeless Belfast.
Environment
We are committed to minimising the extent of the environmental impact of our operations and for several years have been running an office recycling programme, which is currently diverting 500 litres of paper and plastics from landfill on a weekly basis.
Volunteering
Our staff are encouraged to give their time to community-based projects and are involved in a wide variety of projects and programmes ranging from Business in the Community and the Northern Ireland Scout Association to children’s sports clubs and charity groups across Northern Ireland. Several Osborne King employees are involved in individual fund-raising activities for local charities including sponsored walks, white collar boxing, marathons, sky dives, zip lines and abseils.
Retail
We work with the biggest names in the UK market helping them to establish and develop a presence within Northern Ireland. Our work over the years has led to partnerships with the most dynamic and entrepreneurial developers and investors, private and institutional, in relation to numerous high street, shopping centre and retail park schemes.
Careers
Osborne King offers a Life Long Learning (LLL) programme for all surveying staff to develop key skills and ensure that all staff are familiar with the latest legislative changes affecting our clients' property interests. We encourage all levels of employee to undertake a wide range of LLL activities.
