OSBORNE KING HAVE CHOSEN THE NI HOSPICE AS THEIR CHARITY PARTNER FOR 2018

06 March 2018

Following a successful partnership with Tiny Life last year, Osborne King employees have selected NI Hospice as our charity partner for 2018 and we look forward to taking part in a wide variety of fund-raising events and activities that will enable our staff to raise as much money as possible for this most deserving organisation.

From a six-bed facility that opened in Somerton House off Belfast’s Antrim Road in 1985 to a new purpose-built 18-bed facility that includes a Day Hospice and Education and Research Centre, NI Hospice has gone from strength to strength providing specialist respite, symptom management and palliative care annually to over 3,500 patients across Northern Ireland.  Over the course of more than  thirty years, NI Hospice has expanded its services by opening Northern Ireland’s first-ever Children’s Hospice in Newtownabbey in 2001 with a second children’s facility opening in 2012 in Co. Fermanagh.  The charity also funds education, innovation and research programmes to train and support health professionals working across Northern Ireland.

It costs £12 million to fund the organisation on an annual basis and with the public contributing an estimated £5 million each year, we are keen to do our bit in supporting the incredible and much-needed services that NI Hospice continues to provide across the community year-on-year.  Let the fund-raising commence!
